X-Men

Hay guys, you know that “X-Men Days of Future Past” has released on May 21, 2014. So I think it is time to remember the past movies of X-Men series. So I am starting with “X-Men” which released on 2000.  X-Men was the first movie of the movie series. Its budget was 75 million and it earned $296,339,527(Box Office). Now I am telling you the story of X-Men.

The first scene of X-Men, a 13 years old boy is separated from his parents upon entry to a concentration camp. This boy is Erik Lehnsherr. He causes a set of gates to bend towards him, in attempting to reach them, as though attracted by a magnetic force. So this Erik Lehnsherr is a mutant and known as Magneto. Decades lated, Senator Robert Kelly attempts to pass a "Mutant Registration Act" in Congress which would force mutants to publicly reveal their identities and abilities. Present are Lehnsherr and Professor Charles Xavier, who privately discuss their differing viewpoints on the relationship between humans and mutants.

Marie D’Ancanto a 17 years old girl who lives in Meridian. She is a mutant. She puts her boyfriend into a coma while she kissing him which was caused by her unknown superhuman ability to absorb the life force and mutant abilities of anyone she touches. She becomes very afraid and she leaves home with a new name, Rouge. She runs away to Laughlin City, Alberta. She meets Logan, an amateur fighter known as the Wolverine. Logan possesses superhuman healing power. They become friends and while on a road they are attacked by Magneto’s man Sabretooth who is also a mutant. At that moment Strom and Cyclops arrive and save Wolverine and Rogue. They take them to X-Mansion in Westchester County, New York. There Wolverine and Rogue meet Professor Charles Xavier, who leads a group of mutants called the X-Men. They are trying to seek peace with the human. Here they educate young mutants in the responsible use of their powers, and stop Magneto from escalating the war with humanity. Magneto's kidnaps Senator Kelly by his allies Toad and the shapeshifter Mystique. They brought Senator Kelly to their lair. Magneto uses Kelly as a test subject of a machine that artificially induces mutation. Kelly escapes from there by using his new mutant abilities. After escaping he comes to X-Mention. In X-Mention an accident causes Rogue to use her powers on Wolverine. She becomes very upset with this and convinced to leave the X-Mention by Mystique who was disguised as her classmate Bobby Drake and she left. Xavier uses his mutant-locating machine Cerebro to find Rogue but Mystique infiltrates Cerebro and sabotages the machine so he becomes ill. Wolverine finds Rogue at the train station. Wolverine convinces Rogue to stay with Xavier and after that a fight ensues when Magneto, Toad and Sabretooth arrive and kidnap Rogue. Senator Kelly was dying due to the instability of his artificial mutation. The X-Men learn that Magneto was severely weakened in the test of the machine on Kelly. They realize that he intends to use Rogue's power transferring ability to power the machine in his place. And this will put her life at risk. After that the X-Men stop Magneto and make peace with the humans. This is the story of “X-Men”.

X-Men is an awesome superhero film of 2000. The graphics of X-Men is good also and the story is very interesting. I will come back with the story of “X2”, the second film of X-Men Movie Series. Until then good bye. I hope you enjoyed the review of X-Men.
