In the first scene of Ride Along, a cop named James Payton is in an undercover operation where fake passports are being smuggled into Atlanta. James believes that this operation will lead him to catch a man named Omar. There happens a shootout with the smugglers. After the shootout James chases a car that lead him to one injured smuggler. Then the lieutenant leading the case ask James to drop the case on Omar and James doesn’t drop it. Ben Barber, a fast-talking, jumpy high school security guard dates with James sister. He applies for the Atlanta City police Academy. Ben decided to ask James for this blessings to marry his sister Angela but James says Ben has to be worthy of Angela. Ben will go on a ride along to prove it. The next morning in the Ride Along movie, James picks up Ben from his sister’s house and takes him to the police station. James tells dispatch to give him all the 126’s that are called into the station. Some funny things happens then. 126’s are some problems that are made by the police for the new cops. Ben thinks that all the 126’s are real. So he tries to solve all the problems seriously. After facing the first problem he tells James that he needs some gun to solve the problems. So James takes him to a gun shop and gives him some training. He takes him to a basket-ball playground and tells Ben to talk to the little brother of a smuggler to find out information about Omar. But after he finds out the truth, he goes to a real situation. But he thinks that this is another 126. So he acts like a hero in front of a gun. The smuggler calls him crazy. He laugh at him. Then the smuggler pulls the trigger but Ben survives because of James. Then ben tells James the clue he got from the little brother. Then they catch the smuggler and they got a information that Omar is dealing guns that night. So they go there. James tells Ben to stay in the car. He does as he says. But after some moments he goes out to find James. Ben find out that James is caught by the man of Omar. Then Ben goes there as Omar and tells the men to stand down. But after some time the real Omar shows up and a shootout happens between them. Then James and Ben defeats Omar and his men. This is the story of the Ride Along.
