Taylor Swift is a popular name of entertainment world. Her full name is Taylor Alison Swift. She is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989. She is 22 years old now. Taylor Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Scott Kingsley Swift. He was a Merrill Lynch financial adviser and Andrea, a homemaker who previously worked as a mutual fund marketing executive. Swift was named after singer James Taylor. Her mother believed a gender neutral name would help her forge a successful business career. Her only sibling is her younger brother. The name of her brother is Austin. He is currently a student at Vanderbilt University. Taylor Swift spent the early years of her life on an 11 acre Christmas tree farm near Pottstown, Pennsylvania. At the fee-paying Wybdcroft School she was educated. Her family moved to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, when she was nine. There she attended Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School. At Swift’s parent’s vacation home in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, she spent her summers. Swift developed her interest in theater at the age of nine. She performed in Berks Youth Theater Academy productions of Grease, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie and The Sound of Music. For vocal and acting lessons, she traveled regularly to Broadway, New York. Swift won a national poetry contest with a three page poem. The name of the poem is “Monster in My Closet”. She won a local talent competition by singing a rendition of LeAnn Rimes’s “Big Deal” at the age of eleven. Then she was given the opportunity to appear as the opening act for Charlie Daniels at a Strausstown amphitheater. Then she recorded a demo of karaoke covers. Then she traveled with her mother for spring break to Nashville, Tennessee. She was leaving a copy of the demo with record labels along Music Row. She began performing the national anthem at many sporting events in an attempt to create a record label interest. Swift was shown by a computer repairman how to play three chords on a guitar, inspiring her to write her first song. The name of her first song is “Lucky You”. Then she recorded a second demo of original songs. In 2003, after spotting her singing at the US Open, Swift and her parents began to working with music manager Dan Dymtrow. Her second demo caught the attention of RCA Records. They offered the eight-grader an artist development deal. At the age of 14, Swift moved to Nashville, having a secured an artist development deal with RCA Records. She also began recording demos with producer Nathan Chapman. Swift became the youngest songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Three publishing house. In 2006, she released her debut single. The name of the single is “Tim McGraw”. It reached on no.6 on Billboard Chart. In October 24, 2006, Taylor Swift’s self-titled debut album was released. The album sold over 39,000 copies. On November 11, 2008, her second studio album “Fearless” was released in United States. This album reached no.1 on the Billboard 200. The album sold over 129,000 copies in the first week. By this album she become popular all over the world.
