Britney Spears is an American recording artist and entertainer. Her full name is Britney Jean Spears. Britney Spears is her stage name. She has born on December 2, 1981. Her birth place is McComb, Mississippi. Britney is the second child of her parents. The name of her father is James Parnell Spears and the name of her mother is Lynne Irene.

Britney is of English heritage through her grandmother. The name of her grandmother is Lillian Portelli. Lillian had born in London and of distant Maltese and Sicilian descent. Jamie Lynn and Bryan James are her siblings. She started to attend dance lessons in her hometown Kentwood, Louisiana, at the age of three. She was selected to perform as a solo artist at the annual recital. In her childhood she attended gymnastics and voice lessons. Britney won many state level competitions and children’s talent show. At the age of five, Britney made her local stage by singing “What Child Is This?” at her kindergarten graduation. Spears and her mother moved to Atlanta for an audition in the 1990s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club, when she was eight. She was rejected by casting director Matt Casella for being too young to join the series at that time. But Matt Casella introduced her to a New York City talent agent named Nancy Carson.

Britney impressed Carson with her vocals. Carson suggested enrolling her at the Professional Performing Arts School. Then Britney and her mother moved to a sublet apartment in New York. Britney was hired for her first professional role for the lead role of Tina Denmark in the Off-Broadway musical Ruthless as the understudy. She was finally cast in The Mickey Mouse Club in December 1992. But after the show was canceled, she returned back to Kentwood. Britney enrolled at Park Lane Academy in nearly McComb, Mississippi. Britney was in talks with the manager Lou Pearlman to join the female pop group Innocence, in June 1997. For his opinion he asked family friends and entertainment lawyer Larry Rudolph. Lou Pearlman submitted a tape of Britney singing over a Whitney Houston karaoke song along with some pictures. Rudolph wanted to pitch her to record labels; therefore Britney needed some professional demo. He gave an unused song of Toni Braxton to Spears. Britney rehearsed that song for a week. Then she recorded her vocal in a studio with a sound engineer. With the demo she traveled to New York. She met executives from four labels there. Then she returned to Kenwood the same day. She rejected by three of the labels. The audience wanted pop bands like The Backstreet Boys and The Spice Girls. Executive from Jive Records returned calls Rudolph, two weeks later. Senior vice president of A&R Jeff Fenster stated about Britney’s audition that “It’s very rare to hear someone that age who can deliver emotional content and commercial appeal for any artist, the motivation—the ‘eye of the tiger’—is extremely important and Britney had that.” Britney then sang “I Have Nothing”, a song of Houston in 1992 for the executive.

Then she got singed to the label. President Clive Calder ordered a full album after hearing recorded material. She recorded half of the album in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1998. Then she returned United States and finished her album. Her debut album was released on January 1999. The name of her debut album is “Baby One More Time”. This album is a success album of Britney. In May 2000 she released her second studio album “Oops!... I Did It again”. After that she became popular all over the world. The album sold over 20 million copies all over the world. She received Grammy Awards for this album. Her third studio album “Britney” released in November 2001. This album debuted at number one in the Billboard 200. This album also reached top five positions in Australia. This album sold over 12 million copies all over the world. There are many top rated singles of Britney. This makes her very popular all over the world. In 2003, she released another album named “In The Zone”. This album is also a succeed album of her. Then she released “Blackout” in 2007, “Circus” in 2008 and “Femme Fatale” in 2011. The album’s first single is “Hold It Against Me” This single debuted at number one in Billboard Hot 100. “Till The World Ends”, “I Wanna Go” and “Criminal” is her best singles.
